It needs a proper heading indicator. In order to fly circuits and make a controlled LANDING you need a runway heading and an instrument that tells you which way you are pointing, especially when looking around tends to lose you control of the airplane. The sim also needs a proper altimeter , not an above ground radar that changes as you make your approach.
